I've taken birth control pills for about eight months now and i think i might be pregnant. I have all the symptoms. So just in case i stopped taking them. All the symptoms and stuff started two weeks before i stopped taking them. When i did stop taking them i started bleeding about four days afterwards. But it's still light. I started bleeding yesterday. Am i supposed to bleed after i stop taking them? Even if i am pregnant? What all happens? I'm really freaked out and scared. I need help! ASAP!
Are you sure you are pregnant? Have you had a positive pregnancy test? You can sometimes spot when you are pregnant but you need to find out for sure if you are. Sometimes taking the pill can give you signs of pregnancy too-the nausea, sore breasts, bloated tummy etc. The first thing you need to do is either get a home pregnancy test or go to the Dr for a test. A home pregnancy test is ok to start. If you show positive you are pregnant. You are more likely to get a false negative than a false positive. If the home test is negative you may want to confirm it with a Drs test or a blood test. I would have advised you not to stop taking the pills until you confirmed you are indeed pregnant but you have already stopped so if you are not pregnant you will just have to start all over-no big deal. Did you miss any pills last month or take antibiotics without using a back up method? If you are pregnant then you have some decisions to make. Are you planning to keep the baby, have it and give it up for adoption or to abort the pregnancy. I would advise you to go get some counseling at the Drs office before you decide what to do.
