I was recently in the hospital for a kindey stone. I was given two doses of toradal for pain and am currently 25 weeks pregnant. I know this is a class c medication during pregnancy but what are the potential risk and do these risks subside once the medication is no longer in the blood stream?
i wouldnt worry about it... they say its the first few months when organs and stuff are developing that you have to watch what you take. and its similar to ibuprofen, them being non-steroid anti-inflamatory meds. its prob just stronger... also, its embarrassing, but i was young, but anyway... i had real bad sciatica when i was pregnant and my dr prescribed me vicoden. he said the pain and the stress from the pain would hurt the baby more than the vicoden. only bc i was past the 1st few months. i took it daily 2-3x for prob bout 20weeks, up until i had her... and she came out perfectly healthy. she was a GREAT baby n didnt cry much. as for development she is average height n weight and she is very social and smart. she could do simple addition like 2 plus 1, knew her ABC's, n could count to 20 before she was 3.
