Oxycontin use to have OC on one side, but are not being produced any longer. The new version with the initials OP stands for Oxycontin Purdue. The reason for the change is that people were abusing the drug by chewing, crushing, smoking or injecting it. So they changed the chemical compound (none of the actual drug was removed) by adding something that would make it nearly impossible for people to abuse it.
