And what size of it should I be looking for? The 4x4 Tegaderm looks huge but the 2 3/8 x 2 3/4 looks too small. Can the 4x4 be cut smaller? I know the bioclusive or tegaderm needs to completely cover the Fentanyl patch with a little wiggle room left over on all sides. Also where is the best (cheapest) place to buy these things from? Thanks for any help! :)
What do most people use to get the Fentanyl patch stay on? Bioclusive or Tegaderm?

I think CVS is cheapest brand. I use duct tape it works very well and my doctor told me there is no harm in it as long as your not allergic. Hope this helps. I wish you the best of luck finding what works best for you. I've been in pain management for 26 years and it took forever to figure out the best medicine for me. I have been using the fentanyl patch for more than 20 years 100mcg. The nice thing about the ones from CVS is they are smaller and easier to stick on.
It depends on which patch you use. I was using PAR gel patches and they are fairly good size. The 2 3/4 x 2 3/8 Tegaderms covered them completely, you just had to pay attention while applying it. It is possible to not get it centered right and then you'll have to tear it off, remove the thin covering from your patch and start all over again, which may render the patch less effective... they come with a special adhesive layer which transmits the medicine to your skin and if a patch is removed it should not be re-applied. Just pay good attention when applying the cover and you should be ok. If you are using one of the new silicon matrix patches, they are considerably smaller, and sometimes stay on all by themselves. This is a pretty individual thing so you may have to experiment to see what works for you.
Also, some patch manufacturers make specific recommendations about which brand of patch cover to use and so far I haven't been able to get any answer as to the difference, if any, between Tegaderms, Bioclusives, and a new one called Askinaderm. If you have some input on this, please contribute.
