what merhart plus uses
Is it possible that the name actually is Iverhart Plus? The package I have has the name written in capitals and the letters are extremely close together so it would be easy to mistake the name.
Iverhart Plus pills are used for heartworm, roundworm and hookworm prevention/treatment in dogs and are administered orally each month in the spring and summer. The manufacturer is Virbac AH Inc (Virbac Animal Health) in Fort Worth, Texas, USA (www.virbacvet.com). At that website, there are links for other countries (five contacts in Canada at www.virbaccanada.com) and there is a good description of Iverhart Plus at www,virbacvet.com/iverhart.
For dogs up to 25 lb, the bubble envelope says "68 mcg ivermectin, 57 mg pyantel pamoate. For this weight of dog the pills are round, flat white pill about 1/3 inch in diameter.
Hope this helps.
They are small (a little over a quarter of an inch in diameter), and tan in color with small speckled brown granules in them. I think they may have been discontinued but we still have a few of them left to give my dog for heart worm until we get his new prescription. 68 mcg ivermectin and 57mg pyrantel as pamoate salt
