I have been taking soboxons for about 2 weeks now and I am having trouble with it desolving in my mouth. The doctor said to put it under my tounge and let it desolve so it can get into my blood stream and not go in my stomach he said that the acids will just eat up the pill and it wont work as well. My problem is is that everytime I put it under my tounge my mouth gets filled with saliva and i cant get the pills to work the way it is soppose to. Any body that has any advice please let me know. Thank you
In my experience, if you drink something hot, prior to taking the pill sublingually, under tongue, this will help the pill desolve faster. The heat and moisture should help.. place it toward the back, under you tongue, even if you have to adjust it a few times, with your finger or tip of your tongue, it will work. You can swallow the saliva that the pill and mouth produces. Thats basically the purpose. If it was desolved any other way, it would dilute the medication. Hope this helps..
hi S/W, IM on suboxone for 8 months today. the best way to take sub is to swish some hot water in your mouth, put the sub under left side of toung lean foward so u do not swallow your saliva. let it desolve as slow as u can. the longer u can hold the sub and your spit the better it will work.i hold mine for half an hour sometimes. then it works best dont b in a hurry. and don't worrie if it makes your mouth dry. the orange flavor it supposed to make u salivate. just take your time... fellow suboxone user... subzero58 aka peter
just press thr front of your toung on your bottom set of teeth and stick what ever your dosage you have in your moutn and hold a little bit of warm water just a tad bit... and hold your tounge tight for 7minutes till the pills all are gone thats how i do it and i feel it fine with not interval fee..godbless
