In My Partner, After a night's sleep the hands are numb and tingling. also the feet. It feels a bit like tendinitis, In the morning, There is stiffness in both hands, Joints and fingers, (this is a new symptom), Seems that the Chiropractor helps some, also he finds the pressure points that feel sharp as a knife in the shoulder blades. Having had a low back injury, the sciatic is always flared up, but why the tingling and numbness? Even in both feet with the pain all the way down the sciatic on the right side. It is getting kind of sever and hard to cope with. Not into drugs for pain relief.Don't see them helping anyhow
Stoneart, you say you have had low back injury? Was this ever MRI'd? Sounds like a stenosis or something going on there. You are explaining sciatica with the leg & foot. I have had it for 44 years. Yes, it gets aggravateing as heck! I do take pain pills, but also On a drug called Lyrica for nerve pain. It has helped. I have severe scar tissue issues with a large aracnoid cyst in the spinal canal in lower back. Because of the cyst & scar tissue my nerves are running pheriferally(sp) instead of latterraly. Anyway spelling aside, it causes a terrific amount of pain numbness tingling etc... I think you get the idea. Stay with your chiro by all means. I believe they can do more than surgery can. I had to stop because of compression fractures in my spine. The tender spots on your shoulders are trigger points. If you have eleven of them that are tender You are considered a Fibromyalgia candidate. Good luck on that one too. Lots of luck to you...
Hi considering the back injury it sounds like it could be nerve damage or a trapped nerve(s). It would certainly explain the numbness, tingling and pain. I would suggest your partner see his doctor and hopefully he/she can arrange an MRI scan. I hope you find the cause and he soon feels better!
