Up unti recently I was receiving a generic Pantoprazole imprinted "protonix' That changed to P 40 by Wyeth Lederle. It was my understanding that Wyeth was part of Pfitzer.
Yes they are both made by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Company, a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc.
When the patent expires on a drug the same company can also market the generic so as to cash in on both aspects of the market. Sometimes they market them with a different imprint as in your case, and sometimes they maket them with the same imprint.
