daughter comes up positive on urine test for pcp's. she uses several drugs for bi-polar and depression, along with pain killers and other prescription drugs.
There are several medicines that can cause a false postive for PCP. These include dextromethorphan (found in cough medicines), diphenhydramine (Benadryl), ibuprofen (Advil), imipramine (Tofranil) , meperidine (Demerol), mesoridazine (Serentil), thioridazine (Mellaril), and venlafaxine (Effexor). I am sure there are others.
Hope this helps,
Same thing happened 2 me 5 or so yrs ago (which is why I'm drawing a blank on the med it was, thanks 2 google, after 5mins of searching I figured it out, since I guess Drs didn't bother to even check if my meds could cause a false positive, they didn't believe anyways), I was on anti depressants, mood stabilizers, anti seizure meds, and anti anxiety.. (im bipolar with anxiety, PTSD, depression, etc... ) If ur daughter takes any meds like that then there ya go.. or just google each med and see if it can cause a false positive for PCP, or google what things can.. good luck
