Roxycodone is a brand name for oxycodone immediate release tablets which are classed as an opioid analgesic and are considered a Schedule 2 drug in the US which means the have a high abuse potential and are highly regulated. Morphine is also a schedule 2 drug. Drugs like codeine and hydrocodone are schedule 3 opioid analgesics and have moderate abuse potential. Schedule 2 drugs cannot be refilled or called into the pharmacy. You must have a written hard copy script each time you fill the drug. Schedule 3's can be refilled and also called into a pharmacy.
