When something comes up that worries me i get this extreme rush of adrenalin that doesn't go away until the problem goes away. I;m 54 now and i can deal with it some what better than i could when i was in my 20s. I almost shot myself a couple times back then. It's just so hard to live with it. It's very hard to explain because i don't understand it myself but i know it's not normal.
Sounds kind of like an anxiety attack, which many times will not let up until the situation is resolved. You can learn breathing techniques to cope with it and many times will help. As well there are a number of medications you can use to help and can be taken only when your having an attack. I would talk to your doctor about it. This kind of anxiety can cause other health risk do to the anxiety and stress etc.
