I started my Suboxone treatment for opiate addiction last year, and it has helped me tremendously. I feel ready to stop taking it. Right now, a pill lasts me about 4 days. I only take a tiny piece off one pill, once a day. I've tried to stop before, but have felt restless, anxious, and haven't been able to sleep. I'm ready to truly become sober, and just want to know how long I will experience withdrawal symptoms?
If you taper off correctly and slow enough, you won't have withdrawal. Are you on the 8/2 mg pills or the 2/.5 pills. That might help others who want to answer. You don't have to add that info, but it helps us who try to answer. You can look my profile up to see how I tapered off with no withdrawal by clicking my avatar or name. There are some meds like clonidine that help with the anxiety. You might let your doc know you would like to be off so you can get the meds you need.
