I will be seeing my doctor next month, and plan on discussing my options with her. I want to clear my system, the thought of being addicted forever seems unreasonable.

Hello 901mohawk. Its over a year and a half since you've asked this question. Well, I'm on it and only just recently. 30mg is my current dose. The odd time that I happen to miss a dose, I feel irritable, anxious and I perspire. Imagine. I've only been on it since May. just about 5 months time. I'd strongly suggest that you be put on another medication. If not going that route, tapering. Slowly taper yourself on a program/schedule that you feel will be the most comfortable for you.I understand that you're not pleased being on it for such a long time. The very best to you, and hopefully you are doing well.
