I am allergic to penicillin and am having reactions to the clindamycin.

I am not a doctor but I have had to take antibiotics alot. Erythromycin and Azithromycin are pretty good for soft tissue infections and so are sulfa drugs. Alot of people are allergic to sulfa though. Talk to a pharmacist, they are the real experts on drugs, and they might suggest something to mention to the dentist.
