They are aprox 12 pills individually wrapped but not in a normal blister pack but almost like kids sweets in little squares of clear cellophane, linked together in two columns. On the wrapper they have "Dispatch Tablet"or "Dispatch pill" as I remember. Round in shape and purple in colour.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to ID any pill without an imprint. All prescription and OTC drugs in the US are required by the FDA to have an imprint.
Your pill could be a vitamin, a diet/herbal/energy pill, or an illicit or foreign pill.
Your local pharmacy may recognise these if you take one in with it's wrapper.
