My husband has a bad liver due to Hepatitis C that he got in the service in 1982 from a blood transfusion. I take it for anxiety as I am Bi-Polar. Is this drug OK for my husband to take due to is circumstances?
You should never give someone a medication not prescribed for them even if the symptoms are the same. Since your husband has liver problems, he should consult his Dr first before taking anything, prescribed or OTC. If he feels he needs something for anxiety, he needs to talk to his Dr and get something specifically prescribed for him. His Dr knows his history and can prescribe something compatible with his other medications that will not harm his liver further.
