... I've been taking Wellbutrin(Bupropion) 150XL for about the last 4-6 months and in two days time I will have run out and seeing as the doctor that I had seen I am no longer seeing, I am looking at the side effects of withdrawal in case the new doctor I am going to start seeing does not prescribe or put me back on this medication. So my question for you all, is what can I do if this happens and I am not put back on this? I was mainly put on it to deal with anxiety (even though it's not what is used for) it helped me with driving anxiety a lot. I'm only 22... and this is kinda nerve racking to me
You could call your new doctor and tell him your situation. They may prescribe you just enough Wellbutrin to get you to his appointment or get you in soon. I do not suggest going cold turkey. Tapering off is best. Your question about what to do if he does not prescribe you Wellbutrin?? If you feel that you really need this med, then be aggressive about advocating for it. Be open to what your doc has to say.
