Currently on 150mg of Well XL, its been pretty effective but still feeling moody and irritable at times. Doc suggested 300mg of XL but after a week trial I was still not adjusted and felt really wound up and had lots of pressure in my head, but my mood was better! Now we are going to try Well SR 200mg/day ( 2x 100mg/ daily) to see if that gives me the little boost I need. Anyone gone from XL to SR to help with a mg increase???
Hello Allison, I had the same issue and still due..Mine was raised to 200mg(SR) two months ago twice daily, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is probably me..I also have seasonal depression and their is no happy pill.. Not working for me at all... No energy..nothing has changed. I see my prescriber this week.. I actually do not what else to suggest..i do my research??? Anybody else have any feedback can something else be added besides Cymbalta that is helpful? Thank you. Mary
I switched from XL to SR due to sleep issues. I had the option of 150-450 daily. At 150 i could tell the effect but at 300 i had a much better experience. I took 2 xls a day. Since SRS fade away a bit quicker, I found it better to take 300, sometimes 450 of SR. 2 then 1 more by lunch at latest. It's a great antidepressant, and the energy is great without it being an Amphetamine.
So big difference is longevity. If you have a 6am to 12PM life, maybe XL is right for you. However i did not like skipping a dose because I was late, so SR gives me a decision.
Just my opinion
Yes, the wellbutrin helped wonderful at 200 2X a day. However, after a week I was so hyper that, I almost lost my relationship with my daughter. Now I take 300 Sr when I wake up in the morning. It actually makes me feel tired, yet I am not too depressed. Usually go back to sleep for a few hours. I would be interested in knowing how 200 mg of sr effects you, please update. Best of luck!
