Before Welchol my 2 hour after meal blood sugar would register between 115 and 124. Now it is between 144 - 163 after eating the same type of meals.
Blood sugars naturally rise after a meal and then drop again. If you are not careful with your diet and are eating lots of carbs and sweets, then that is why it is going up faster. Since your sugar level is high before you eat, perhaps you need to be adjusted.
I agree that if you have new meds, dose changes of other meds, that sugar levels will change. Time for a call to your Endocrinologist.
