I took Wellbutrin SR for 20 years switched to XL 300 mg one year ago. Am 69 yr old will probably take it for life now
Consult with your Dr on what tests can / should be done to monitor this for you, I would imagine every 6-12 months, all depends on your Dr's knowledge of your overall / complete health history.
Hopefully, we won't find any adverse long term side effects from this medication and many like it. I think the benefits outweigh the risks and I plan to take my antidepressants for as long as necessary which probably means life.
