I have NAFLD (non drinker) and considered Stage 4 in liver damage.I have gone through two Hep C treatments over the last 2 years but I am now viral free. I was scoped early in treatment and had only one small varicies. I was again scoped last week and to my surprise I had to have 5 varicies banded. I am on an excellent diet (low sodium and low fat balanced diet ) and have exercised all my life religiously as well as through out my treatment and continue to do so.I recently added weight training (2 months ago) but was also guilty of not taking my beta blocker for the last 6 months. Is the combination of weights and no Nadolol significant contributing factors in having such an increase in varicies needing banded.
