I am morbidly obese and I try to eat healthy, even though I slip up sometimes. I walk on my treadmill every day for 10 minutes because that is all I can do at one time. Does anyone know of a medication to help me lose weight. I know OTC meds are a waste of money and don't work. Sometimes I get on the treadmill twice and I also have a fit board, but i feel like I need the extra help. Any suggestions of medication or what more I can do would be greatly appreciated.
I can understand your struggle... Unfortunately, there is no quick fix. This journey will take a lot of hard work, surrender, and pain. But YOU ARE WORTH IT!!! Start with small lifestyle changes. For example: use 1% instead of whole milk... etc... surround yourself with support! Walk to the mailbox and back... It's the little things that add up to big things. And always START TODAY! RIGHT NOW! never tomorrow... lol! Tomorrow is what got us here in the first place! This stranger believes in you!
I totally agree with HPoole.
You sound like you have the motivation which is half the battle.
The other thing to think about is what caused you to become obese.
You need to face up to that issue to avoid getting back into the same rut.
Think of the health long term issues.
You need to love yourself to take care of yourself.
If there is depression involved, I heard Wellbutrin can help lose weight.
It's not at all about the "uppers" that were previously prescribed. It turned out they caused heart valve problems.
It just goes to show you that anything worth having needs to be worked for.
I found mind games helped.
I would work in 5 lb increments. Set your goal for 5 lbs and then celebrate !
Mentally prepare yourself for the next 5.
Don't expect any one to notice your weight loss until you have lost 20lbs. Once you start to show it, you will have that positive feedback.
BTW... The more water you drink...
The more weight you will lose.
Fiber - It fills you up especially, when followed by water, which causes it to expand.
I hate to say this but a great way to help in weight loss is housekeeping!
It keeps you on your feet moving and your working out without noticing it.
Moving around keeps your endorphins flowing. Endorphins help cut down on the appetite. Just like when running, you don't feel like eating. Right?
Fiber, water and moving ! 5 lbs at a time.
