After you are discharged from the hospital, the physio would encourage you to walk for about 4 kms every day @ 2 kms an hour in the morning and in the evening. A fortnight later, the distance remains the same but to do it (briskly) in 40 min. at a time. Also you need to swing your arms more vigorously and keep at it as a daily routine. This should do.
