There isn't a limit to what you can eat. All you have to do is maintain about the same amount every day. Your dose is figured according to what happens when you eat your normal diet. You just can't suddenly eat a huge amount of something. Say you always eat a cup of broccoli a day, you can't alter that by much or it will effect the warfarin dose.
In the 20 years ( Im only 42) I have been taking warfarin, my inr's can sometimes be like a pogo stick . Its not exactly easy to keep my pt at one level all the time and not have to adjust the dosages . Your diet can affect it big time and so can your activity's. Vitamin K can have big effects on your thinning levels and daily warfarin dosage amount. The more you eat ( vitamin k foods) the more warfarin your going to take to offset Vitamin K's effects. At this moment I take only 7.5 Tues Thurs Sat and Sun and 5mg Mon Wed Friday My daily vitamin K intake is lower than yours so it takes less warfarin amounts every day to get the higher thinning levels I need to be at ( 3 to 4) . This is just how warfarin is when taking it . Hang in there !!
