Ever since I was learning to walk I would walk on my toes. Even now I walk on my toes occasionally without knowing I'm doing it. I'm an 18 year old girl and don't have any problems with my legs or walking. I've read that it can be connected to mental/emotional development. I do know as a child I had anxiety and even still do, if this is a true connection. Other than that, why do I still do this?
Valerie; This really has no one answer it could also be just a bad habit the only way to tell if it is mental and such is try and get in to see a doctor and see what they have to say or you may not be aware of having a heel problem and need some lifts to get you on your heels too. it is worth a try and if you still continue you should seek out a doctor and have them double check what is going on
I walk around on my toes all the time, especially while barefoot or if I don't want to get my pants wet. I just prance around on my toes. I never knew until quite recently that it was associated with anxiety. I have PTSD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. But I never related them. I just love walking on my toes...
