naloxone/pentazocine and have been told they cannot get this drug. How long will it continue to be unavailable? I have taken this medication for tension/migraine headaches for over 25 years and have missed 4 days of work in the last week and a half due to the lack of this drug. Please check on this for me. I live in Commerce, Texas.
I have been waiting for over a week for my Wal Mart pharmacy to fill my prescription for Talwin NX?

How do I find out if the drug manufacturer has stopped producing this medication? I'm not quite sure what I can do on my own. I've asked the Wal Mart pharmacist many times if he has heard anything and his answer is always "No."
They haven't, I just checked for someone else. At least lately problems like this are more distributor problems then manufacturer ones.
Its been my experience that walmart doesn't extend themselves for you with problems like this. They should call your dr and tell him they can't get it, so you get another script and check somewhere else. Don't give the pharmacist that script if they say they can't get it.
I have been told by Walgreens and Smiths pharmacies that the manufacturer is no longer producing the talwin nx generic, pentacozine/naloxone. Any similar experiences or anybody know any pharmacy that can get the product?
Does that mean that Talwin NX isn't being manufactured either or is it just the generic form? I took the real medication for years and certainly wouldn't mind doing so again. I can't believe it's this hard to find!!
I too was told they stopped making this.. I have chronic back pain and have used it for over 30 years. What else is like this medication?
