I just got the depo shot for the first time 11 days ago. I got the shot 10 days after the start of my period. I guess I misunderstood the doctor because I thought she said to wait 1 week to be completely protected. After doing much more research, I found that you are only immediately protected if you get the shot within the first 5 days of the start of your period (I am five days off). Otherwise, It takes 2 weeks or 14 days to be completely protected. I had unprotected sex three times after waiting only 8 days. What should I do? Should I take Plan B? If I do will that mess up the birth control and make it not work? He did not *** inside of me, but I am worried about pre-***. Please someone help. I know nothing about this stuff.
