Week 4 of 10mg and I'm still having bad anxiety and nights I don't sleep. Also on pridel 800mg,phenerghan 25mg at night for sleep? Would love to hear peoples views on whether the anxiety will eventually subside.
From the literature:
"Sleep, energy, or appetite may show some improvement within the first 1-2 weeks. Improvement in these physical symptoms can be an important early signal that the medication is working. Depressed mood, anxiety, and lack of interest in activities may need up to 6-8 weeks to fully improve."
Antidepressant/anxiolytics can actually increase anxiety in some users in the first weeks of therapy so you may need to give it a little more time for your medication to become fully effective. Also, you're on a fairly low dose so you might want to ask your doctor about increasing it a little.
"The recommended starting dose is 10 mg administered orally once daily without regard to meals. Dosage should then be increased to 20 mg/day, as tolerated, because higher doses demonstrated better treatment effects in trials conducted in the United States. "
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better soon. Wildcat
