I seem to bleed worse after eating some foods and using some medicines.
If you have von Willebrand disease, do not take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin or ibuprofen, without talking to your health care provider. You should also avoid blood thinners such as warfarin, heparin and clopidogrel.
If you notice a certain food causes you to bleed then it is probably best avoided. Food does not appear to cause a problem in patients with Von Willebrands disease.
