... .05. After 2nd week it seemed like the day/night before I would change the patch, symptoms returned. After contacting GYN and discussed, was placed on .1 patches. This is the beginning of my 4th week. Yesterday I had a few mild hot flashes, but last night had some really bad ones, woke up from sound sleep, bedding all damp, sweating and uncomfortable. So I guess I'm just really unsure why I'd be completely free of all symptoms with initial attempts, then after 2 or more weeks tend to have them return. What does this mean?
I am not sure that you included enough information to receive a good answer. Why did you change your HRT formula? What were you using before and did it stop helping all of a sudden? It could be that since you only had a partial hysterectomy at 43 that now at 51 you are going through the change of life. Did they leave in one ovary? I would definitely ask your OBGYN to do a full hormone level test to see exactly what is missing and needing replaced. Some pharmacy's have formularys where they combine exactly what you are missing nothing more nothing less. Sometimes physicians are too quick to guess and just prescribe what is available instead of taking the time to really see what is going on. I hope that helps.
