... up every morning with my eye matted almost shut. Also as the day goes on my eye tends to hurt a little and throb. However Advil takes care of the pain. The flesh around my eye is not swollen and is just the least little bit sore. When I wake up in the morning my eye feels good. Lastly, my eye hurts when I focus on something close up. Just for a second. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having pain. I keep reading there shouldn't be any after the first few days
This very well could be due to the surgery may or may not be a side effect. It would be best to follow up with doctors office if it worsens or becomes extremely painful. The tear ducts and natural fluid of the eye can become overactive, thus protecting the eye and ridding of infection. The matting of the eye, and stuck together/ eyelids can be relieved with warm cloth applied for a couple of minutes, open slowly; The only infection that I know of where the eyes crust and stick together while sleeping is conjunctivitis. I dealt with it for many years growing up. Took antibiotics.
