I have to take Vitamin D supplements and I live in Arizona! It is sunny here almost every day! Low vitamin D can cause painful joints so with supplementation your joint pain may go away. Do you go out in the sun much? Do you use sunscreens? Sunscreens can keep you from absorbing Vitamin D. You need 15-20 minutes a day out in the sun with no sunscreens. So many moisturizers and skin products have sunscreens in them. The Melanoma campaign did a good job getting people to avoid sun exposure, so much so that people are now deficient of Vitamin D! Some people just need supplementation.
