it was recently suggested tht I take 10,000 once a week for 12 weeks
i think it depends on several factors and every patient is different and respond in different ways. your doctor should decide whether the vit d dosage should be increased. i ve been diagnosed with the same deficiency and i'm on 1,000 units per day. but i also take calcium + vitamin c. i've been taking them for about 3 weeks now and i feel some progress. i still have joint pain and everything, but i can say that i'm about 10% better. i asked and was told that you should give a minimum of 3 months for the vitamins to really kick in. whats really important, probably more important that the vitamin supplements, is sunlight exposure. you should get a minimum of 15 minutes of sunlight exposure a day. and the best times are between 8-10 am and after 4 until sunset. try that. and i hope you feel better.
