My anxiety has been through the roof the past month so my doctor prescribed this drug about a week ago.
It is prescribed for depression but may be prescribed off label to help anxiety. It appears to be a slow acting med. It may take up to 4 weeks to show improvement. There are also foods that you should avoid. You can find those on this site by looking it up in the A-Z drug search.
It is a newer drug so not a lot much feed back from others yet. You have a good chance of it working for you, hang in there if you can until 4 weeks has passed.
IF you experience side effects that are unacceptable, there are other antidepressants that address anxiety/depression. Celexa and Lexapro may be ones to talk to your doctor about. There is Buspar that is non-addictive it is prescribed for anxiety. It works well for others. Again something to talk to your doctor about.
Hope you get some relief soon :)
