... moved to 20 mg. At Thanksgiving I increased to 40 mg and experiencing agitation horrible anger out bursts since then , I have cussed and hurt people by my outburst and I am not that type of person , so doctor is taking me back down to 30 mg I hope this feeling subsides , Anyone that can relate to this ?
Sorry you are having that reaction. I can't relate directly to your experience but I will say that when I began taking Viibryd a few years ago I recall the starter pack allowed for a week at 30 mg before going to 40. I had enough starter packs that I was able to titrate up to 30 and I staid there for a few weeks because I was quite satisfied with the result until my Doctor urged me up to 40 mg. (at the time, Viibryd was only approved at a dosage of 40 mg). So I'm hoping for you that 30 mg gets you to a better place.
Recently when attempting to titrate down from 40 mg to 30 mg I experienced symptoms similar to what you are describing. I became anxious and agitated. So I went back to 40 mg. I since read some articles that recommended titrating Viibryd in dosages lower than 10 mg (through compounding). I think the lesson here is that, either up or down, titration of Viibryd should occur in increments no greater than 10 mg. Shame on the manufacturer of Viibryd if they eliminated 30 mg as a starter pack option just to save money!
