and told me that I could take it with this other anti-depressant, that it was safe. I have been on the Nafazadone for 20 years, it is not working like it used to, however, I am nervous about the side effects of taking the two drugs in combination.
Welcome to the forum. Did you ask your Dr about taking these two meds together? I am not a psychiatrist but I am indeed surprised that with all the remarkable progress in psych drugs over the past 10 yrs your Dr would not have tried something new for your diagnosis, particularly after Nafazadone was no longer being legally made in the US. Perhaps the generic suits you fine. In any case, it's very interesting-as old as Nafazadone is and as new as Viibryd is, they are remarkably similar. They operate in many similar ways and have a significantly similar side effect profile. My guess is that if you get through the initial Viibryd side effects, this is the med your Dr ultimimately has in mind for you. For me, Viibryd has been life changing. Feel free to write again or PM me as well if I can be of help along your journey.
