i have been on victoza about and my sugar is up and down and wondering if i should take the victoza even if my sugar level is normal and take it every day anyway
Yes you should take it every day if that is what the doc ordered. Altering your meds is only going to create more up and down action with your blood sugar. If your blood sugar is normal and you skip the victoza that day, I can almost guarantee you that during the day you skipped it, your blood sugar will go up and it will take a few days to get it back down. If you feel your meds need to be changed, you should take all your blood sugars clearly documented to your doctor. With that and your A1C he will decide what needs adjusting. Usually when you are using victoza, it isn't altered the other meds you take are. Too high a blood sugar is more dangerous to your body then if its too low, and harder to treat too.
