Because of the nature of Victoza curbing your appetite - and for those that have been taking it for a long time, when you've met your goal weight & or blood sugars consistently, and have then stopped taking Victoza, have you gained any or all weight back?
Hello Everred, & welcome to the site. Victoza is only part of a complete program of treatment that may also include diet, exercise, weight control, foot care, eye care, dental care, and testing your blood sugar. Once you are off of it, you must continue with a low calorie diet to maintain your weight & get plenty of exercise. If you are starting to gain back too much weight then you must control it by your diet. Maybe an appointment with a dietician is in order to help your learn the food groups & what is best for you as far as calories, or carbs. Learning all of this is much easier to help control your weight. It can't be done with a pill alone as I am sure you already know. Best wishes to you...
