That would depends on whether is in immediate release or extended or sustained release. Extended and sustained released Verapamil is initially dosed once a day while the immediate is dosed three times a day.
Verapamil doses do become titrated which is where you might be asking. Sometimes Verapamil sustained release will be dosed 240mg two times a day at 12 hour intervals or 480mg once a day in the morning. Without more information I can only hazard a guess.
