i have done a surgey for aneyrisem, and after that i have a long and strong headache
Everyone reacts differently to medications. When I raised my venlafaxine, generic for Effexor, the pain from my migraines got better. And my migraines were caused by a stroke, that is a major change with my brain, as you have had a major change in your brain with the surgery. So the only way you can know, is to try. It has been documented that venlafaxine can improve a headache. But there are many other treatments as well. Is that the only medication that your doctor recommended? Does your surgeon or neurologist think that with time, your headache may get better since it was caused by surgery? How much time did they tell you? Hope your pain gets better very soon. It's very difficult. Good luck.
