my vietnam vet husband just had a heroic bypass of left leg resulting in amputation he is laying beside me so angry pending below knee amputation. suggestions
Hi i'm sorry no one has been able to answer yet. It is a difficult situation. Does he have or has he accepted any pts counselling or help? Is he able to talk to anyone who has been in the same situation as him or one of his comrades? I known it is easy to turn to medication and not everyone agrees with it, but anti-depressant/anxiety meds can work wonders honestly! Has he been offered any help dealing with this from health care professionals? Also, you shouldn't forget about yourself! It can help a lot if you receive help/advice about how to deal with/help him. It will be really tough on you and you shouldn't be expected to know exactly how to help him for the best. I wish i could help, please let me know how things work out?
