How long you have it is different on everyone, but if it doesnt stop after a few days then i would contact a doctor. doesnt hurt to ask.
Did you get put on anti virals? Unfortunately it can hang around for months sometimes. Its given you temporal artery problems which can be a real problem with headaches and balance. Did you break out on your face? My bf had it on his face when he was getting chemo, but the antivirals got rid of it before it caused problems like you are speaking of.
