Started taking valerian root a few days ago, and started noticing bloody stool..Something I've never had. Can This be the cause?
Anything is possible but it shouldnt. Anytime you have blood in your stools, you should be examined by your Dr. Is the blood bright red? Is it in small streaks on the stool? If yes, then you may just have some inflamed hemorrhoids but you should still see your Dr because on occasion bloody stools can signal something worse, like cancer, so it should always, always be checked out. It is better to go to the Dr and find out that you have hemorrhoids than it is to ignore it and find out later than you have colon cancer that would have been curable if you had come in for care sooner.
