The discharge and a terrible itch. If you are having symptoms, you can try monostat or one of them, but if you continue to have symptoms after treatment, you might need to see a dr to make sure its yeast. If you were just on an antibiotic that is a strong argument that it would be yeast. Do not douche.
Thick white discharge that is clumpy like cottage cheese and sometimes pretty severe itching although not all women get itch. There is usually not much odor. If your discharge is thin, or colored or has a foul or fishy odor then it is not yeast. Men can get a rash on their penis after intercourse with a woman with a yeast infection and sometimes couple pass the infection back and forth so if it keeps reoccurring after treatment, your partner may need treatment.
