My husband and I have been trying for 2 years to have our second child with no luck yet. I have an MRI scheduled for Wednesday and am a few days late on my period. My periods are not consistently on time, but there is a chance I could be pregnant. With my first kid, I was 3 days late and it did not show up. So should I buy an at home test or ask them to test me at the doctors? Or should I postpone my MRI until I start my period?
They are one in the same for the most part. There is more room for error at home. Do you have a planned parenthood or something like that to go in for a quick test? If you take it to early then there will not be enough pregnancy hormones in your urine stream. Safety first. You can always call the MRI place to see if they do the pregnancy screenings prior to testing. Good luck. Hope the best for you.
The mri tech should have you do a pregnancy test first. If not, tell them you could possibly be pregnant. You could do a test if you wait until the day before the mri, just do it first thing in the am as soon as you get up. If its negative, you should still tell the tech.
