It is an on and off problem the last two months more on than off where I am urinating every hour sometimes as often as 20 minutes. I do not get thursty and I have no other symptoms. The biggest clue to helping me figure out what's wrong is that taking ibuprofen reduces the frequency a little bit. I also started taking Saw Palmatto as an act of desparation and my urinary flow has improved slightly. I still have no idea what's wrong and I saw somebody about this issue but it was somebody who seemed to care less about helping me and more about getting blood work done to pump me full of medication I don't need. Also before I forget, urinating at night while sleeping is not a problem. I go to bed around midnight and do not get up until around 6 am to go.
I'm not going to speculate on possible causes (although I did have a UTI for about 4 weeks about 35 years ago). However one of the old style tricyclic antidepressants (Endep, Triptanol are both the same just different brand names) has a marvellous side effect of inducing urinary continence and is often used in women past child bearing age to give them more control and therefore comfort when going out. It is used often off-label for this purpose.
Don't give up on finding the cause however.
