It is proven to be a medical grade supplement that prevents UTI if taken everyday or two after intercourse if that's what causes your UTI , which that is the main cause of mine... I ordered some but I'm still waiting on it to get here. A lot of women say it works and I will do anything to prevent as many UTI as I can. So if any of you have experience with that or maybe something else that works better at prevention and/ or treatment at the first sign of UTI please let me know :)
Hi; Chelsea; Yes on your first question this has had many women take it to avoid a UTI infection and if you know to get a UTI shortly after sex this is something you should try. There are several ways of taking it if you know you're going to have sex this weekend try and start to take this a few days before. Or if you have chronic UTI follow the directions I believe its take 1 twice daily with a glass of water. just remember this will not help for a UTI Infection once it has started for that its back to the doctor. Here is what it says about it. ((( Cranberry (like juice or in capsules) has been used in alternative medicine as a possibly effective aid in preventing symptoms such as pain or burning with urination. Cranberry will not treat the bacteria that causes a bladder infection.
Other uses not proven with research have included: urination problems caused by an enlarged prostate; reducing urine odor to improve quality of life in people with urinary incontinence, or healing the skin around the opening of a urostomy (a surgical opening formed to direct urine away from the bladder).
It is not certain whether cranberry is effective in treating any medical condition. Medicinal use of this product has not been approved by the FDA. Cranberry should not be used in place of medication prescribed for you by your doctor. And if this does not help as well as you need you should talk with the doctor I do know of many women that have to take one sulfa pill after sex and no longer get these UTI. hOPE IT WORKS OUT FOR YOU OR GET BACK IN TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR chuck1957
