I went to the dentist 3 days ago and they gave me amoxicillin for an abscess tooth upper k9 they couldn't drain it. The swelling has gone into my eye and forehead. My eye is very swollen should I go to the emergency room 3 days of antibiotics
Yes you should right now. That is a medical emergency that needs immediate treatment. The tooth also needs to be removed immediately. If you have been on antibiotics for at least 2 days and swelling and pain become worse that means the antibiotic isn't working. Anytime there is a dental abscess with pain and swelling that is worsening by spreading into the eye that is a medical emergency where you need IV antibiotics.
