First time dose ,the Dr wants to put me on 100mgs of levothroxin my t4 is10.5 I feel that is way to high
We need your TSH, that is what the dose is determined by. He didn't put you on 100 mg he put you on 100 mcg, that is 0.1 mg. Does that make you feel better? If you mean your TSH was 10.5, that is way to high. The TSH is thyroid stimulating hormone, and it does what it says, when you aren't producing enough it will increase to make it produce better, and if your thryoid can't do that the TSH will increase, trying to make it work.
