... hydrocortizone (supp,) then switched to cortifoam, then antibiotocs because c-diff seemed to set in. Now Lialda during the day and Messalamine enema @ night. Going for a 2nd scope 6/22 (1st was 2/5/10 - life hasn't been the same since.) Blood is constant. Can't pass gas unless I'm sitting cause there is ALWAYS liquid. Any suggestions on treatment that works?

Team, I have seen responses in here and been reading them and forgot that I never told everyone what worked for me. Lialda - oral mesalamine. Stopped my problem. I took it for over a year and 1/2. Stopped about a month ago to see if things will remain good. No relapses to date. LIALDA!!! ~toph~
I have radiation proctitis. I went through the hydrocortizone supp., etc. I had allots of bleeding for approx. 15 months. I finally was referred to a gastroenterologist out of town who did the argon laser coagulation procedure on me. I have not had any bleeding since. All of the supp., proctofoam etc. was only treating it cosmetically.
I have been on salofalk suppositories for years and it kept it at bay. The gastro decided to move me to Mezavant oral and for me that has been a nightmare. I had/have the worst gas pains, bleeding, chills and bathroom ever. I have been on prednisone for the first time ever, for 3 weeks now. It is helping but not nearly as quickly as I thought. Wouldn't you know my gastro is on holidays! What can they give you after if you can't tolerate Mezavant? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
